There is an option on our courses to go with Qualsafe Awards which gives you the OFQUAL upgrade which gives individuals and businesses extra quality assurance. From delivering an OFSTED Approved Paediatric First Aid course for Early Years Settings, to delivering a 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course to low-risk workplaces- we work to meet your First Aid needs.

FIRST AID AT WORK COURSES IN CHESTERFIELD

Our First Aid at Work courses are ideal for anyone looking for Basic First Aid training or anyone wanting to become a First Aider in the workplace, from offices to construction sites. All of our First Aid Training courses meet and exceed all Health and Safety Regulations (First Aid) 1981. All courses are accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) unless an individual chooses to have the OFQUAL upgrade and go with Qualsafe Awards. 

• The Emergency First Aid at Work is a 1-day course aimed at individuals who would like to become a First Aider. It is a legal requirement for all companies in the UK to have at least one appointed Emergency First Aider in the workplace, as stated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The course meets the Health and Safety (First Aid) 1981 Regulations to be a First Aider in a low-risk workplace such as an office. 

• The First Aid at Work course is a 3-day course aimed at individuals who would like to become a First Aider in the workplace. This course covers the contents of the Emergency First Aid at Work course, plus further injuries and illnesses that commonly occur in workplaces, such as diabetes, asthma, and chest injuries. The course meets the Health and Safety (First Aid) 1981 Regulations to be a First Aider in a low-risk and high-risk workplace. You can complete this course in three consecutive days on one of our open courses or on a private course. Alternatively, you can choose three single days to complete the course at your venue. 

• The First Aid at Work Refresher is a 2-day course which is aimed at individuals who are requalifying their First Aid at Work qualification. All requalifying first aiders must have previously completed a First Aid at Work course and show their certificate prior to attending the First Aid at Work Refresher course. This course is designed to update individuals' First Aid knowledge and skills, and ensure they are competent First Aiders. 

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID COURSES IN CHESTERFIELD

Derbyshire First Aid Training deliver Paediatric First Aid courses to meet the First Aid needs of individuals and businesses such as childminders, parents and guardians, nurseries and schools. Our Paediatric First Aid courses are written in line with the EYFS framework and OFSTED guidelines. 

• The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is a 1-day course aimed at anyone wanting to learn First Aid for infants and children, such as parents or grandparents. This course is designed in line with the EYFS requirements and covers the key Paediatric First Aid Skills, such as choking and minor injuries. 

• The OFSTED Approved Paediatric First Aid is a 2-day course that is designed for individuals working in an Early Years setting such as in a school and nursery. This Paediatric First Aid qualification meets the requirements of OFSTED and the EYFS Framework. 

• The Blended Paediatric First Aid covers the same content as the 2-day Paediatric First Aid course, but is built up of e-learning and 1-day in the classroom. This course is ideal for those requiring OFSTED approved Paediatric First Aid training and those working in a profession with infants and children wanting to become a Paediatric First Aider. 

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID COURSES IN CHESTERFIELD

• The Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course is ideal for anyone wanting to gain a basic awareness and understanding of Mental Health First Aid for themselves and others. This is a half-day course that covers topics such as stigma, active listening and stress.

• The Level 2 First Aid for Mental Health course is a 1-day course that is aimed at those who would like to gain knowledge on Mental Health and support others in their workplace. This course covers topics such as starting a conversation and mental health illnesses. 

• The Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health is a 2-day course designed for individuals who would like to offer help and support for those in the workplace in relation to Mental Health, and is ideal for those working in HR, line managers, and supervisors. Individuals who complete this course will have the knowledge and resources to help and support colleagues and other individuals with their Mental Health and wellbeing.
